Blackpool (2) - Manchester United (3)
The above result must have felt like six points in the bag after United was 2-0 down at halftime. The mighty United was nowhere to be found in the first half, while Blackpool used their first half chances and managed to take the lead through former United defender, Craig Cathcart, and then went up by two goals after DJ Campbell scored.
I am glad I was not in the United change-room at halftime, because manager Ferguson could not have been in a good mood. He made changes during the second half, forced mainly by Wayne Rooney still not performing close to his best and sending the legend of Old Trafford, Ryan Giggs, on to make ultimately a huge difference.
United only scored their first goal in the 72nd minute through none other than Berbatov, who had a tally of 17 goals for the season already. Javier Hernandez then scored the second goal moments later, racing into the path of a Giggs cross. The score was even with 15 minutes left, which meant game-on for Ferguson's men.
In true United fashion they managed a late 88th minute winning strike through their form striker, Berbatov, making sure they stay way ahead of Arsenal on the premier league table.
I am a huge Liverpool fan, but like in all sport codes I have a real appreciation for class, utter brilliance and professionalism and all-out guts. Manchester United show these attributes and qualities almost every time they take the field...I already took a bow!
