Manchester United Draw Away Against Spurs - Rooney Stars

Manchester United took on Tottenham Hotspur at Spurs' White Hart Lane and they can thank Wayne Rooney for scoring twice and securing a draw. Spurs lead for most of the game, but each time Rooney scored to bring Manchester United back into contention. 

United would have bargained on a win and the full three points after Spurs came off their 6-0 drubbing at the hands of Manchester City last weekend, but it was not to be. The 2-2 result hands them two draws in their last two outings, which is not what Manager David Moyes would want at this stage of the competition.

SOCCER: Pienaar debuts for Spurs...

Tottenham manages to equalize late in the second half away against Newcastle United to keep in the running for a top four finish in the English Premiership. Lennon stole what looked like a good win for Newcastle, in the first minute of stoppage time and gave Spurs another point away from home.

Steven Pienaar finally makes his move to Spurs...

Everton's South Africa midfielder Steven Pienaar joined Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday after rejecting the chance to join Premier League rivals Chelsea.


"We are delighted to announce that we have reached agreement with Everton and Steven Pienaar for the player's transfer to the club," Tottenham said in a statement on their website (www.tottenhamhotspur.com)


The 28-year-old had also negotiated with Premier League champions Chelsea about a move to Stamford Bridge, but Spurs boss Harry Redknapp confirmed he had chosen to move to White Hart Lane. (http://www.supersport.com/football/barclays-premier-league)

I am sure this is the right move for Steven Pienaar, as I am sure he will get much more game-time at Tottenham. Chelsea have too many stars in their team which would have meant that Pienaar might end up sitting on the bench more often that not?
