We are sad to be reporting the following story.
A 23 year old female cyclist, born in Graaf-Reinet, Carla Swart, died in the Free State province Wednesday morning after she was reportedly hit by a truck. The accident happened while she was training for upcoming events.
Our condolences to her family.
Carla represented South Africa at last years Commonwealth Games in New Delhi. There she ended in eighth place, which was the highest-placed South African rider in the women's road race.
