SA Open News: Denmark Golfer Walks Away With 2013 Open Title

A Danish golfer ranked only 244th in the world walked away with the 2013 SA Open title. Dane Madsen, unknown to the SA public at least, beat both Hennie Otto and Jbe' Kruger by two shots to win this years' SA Open title.

The leader after two days, Charl Schwartzel faded away on the final day after scoring only a 71, while Madsen (67), Otto (68), and Kruger (65) managed to score way below par to compete for the title on the final day. The lead changed hands three times in total, but, it was the Dane who came out on top with a final total of 269, 19 under par. 

Madsen became only the 9th non-South African to win the second oldest golf tournament in the world.
