Can You Believe It - Bafana Bafana Beat Spain: 1 - 0

Nobody gave the hot-and-cold South African national soccer team a chance in hell, but they managed to deliver probably one of the biggest upsets in South African football in a very long time.

It was a friendly game between Spain and South Africa at the famous FNB Stadium in Johannesburg that ended in Spain, the current European and World Champions, going down 1-0 after a goal by Bernard Parker. He managed to round off a near-perfect attacking move by Bafana Bafana, who was spurred on by a huge home crowd that backed their team every second of the game.

Khune was especially safe and impenetrable in the SA goal and they managed to keep Spain goalless for the full first half of the game. This gave Bafana some obvious confidence as they came out in the second half and took the attack to the Spanish. Parker's goal came just before 60 minutes, which had every single supporter on their feet. This was Bafana's first win in four attempts against Spain.

Please share your thoughts with us on the game? How proud are you of the national team?

That was an upset yes - apparently the Spain players were so upset that they just left the field and went to the change room. Some Bafana players wanted to exchange jerseys, but the Spain players ignored them...:)
