England was looking "scared", was the words coming out of centurion David Warner's mouth after day 3 of the opening test of the Ashes series in Australia. Warner made his maiden test century (124) at the Gabba in Brisbane, where England has had a poor record in the past. Warner went on to say that South African born Jonathan Trott, who averages 50 in test cricket, has a clear flaw in his batting technique.
Warner was seemingly referring to Trott's sudden problem with short pitched deliveries, especially when he attempts to hook them. Australian captain, Michael Clarke, put his first innings batting disappointment behind him to weigh in with a century (113) of his own. Haddin made a well played 53 as well, while Bailey (34) and Johnson (39*) were the other notable contributors.
Clarke declared their second innings eventually on 401 for 7, leaving the Pom's a massive 561 for victory, which seems out of reach, especially as the England second innings started off in the worst way possible. Opener Carberry was bowled for 0 by Harris, and Trott lost his wicket after scoring only 9.
