South Africa 17 - 14 New Zealand
It was a "dream" final for the South African sevens team in a stadium named after our country's ex-president, Nelson Mandela, who died on the 5th of December. The Blitzbokke found themselves 14-0 down and it looked for a while as if they might lose this one, but excellent defence from the men from Madiba-land helped to bring the score to within a possible victory for the Blitzbokke. Captain Kyle Brown scored the winning try and capped a brilliant weekend for the SA sevens team, but most of all, they seemed to do it for our beloved Madiba...!
