Sports Results Update & Brief Sporting News - November 16, 2013



Results have been coming in thick and fast from all over the sporting world, with a few "surprises" among them. Here are your sports updates and sports news briefs for the weekend thus far:

France Not Qualifying?

France lost their first leg SWC-qualifying play-off match against the Ukraine 2-0, which put them under tremendous pressure to qualify

Ronaldo Scores!

Portugal beat Sweden 1-0 through a Cristiano Ronaldo goal.

England Goes Down 2-0

Alexis Sanchez scored twice as Chile beat England in a friendly at Wembley Stadium.

Proteas Make It 2-0

Faf du Plessis lead by example and scored 58* from 48 balls to make sure the Proteas beat Pakistan 2-0 in the T20 series in Dubai. The series win moved them to position 3 in the T20 international rankings as well.

Adam Scott Leading

Scott is defending his Australian Masters title and is currently leading by 4 after a 5-under round of 66 on Saturday.

Momentum 1-Day Cup To Be Replayed

Heavy rain in Cape Town has caused the 1-Day Momentum Cup final between the Cape Cobras and Titans to be abandoned. It will be replayed.
