The second Ashes test starts only next week in Adelaide, but things have already been heating up slowly but surely in the media mostly. Initially, after the news broke of Jonathan Trott's stress-related illness and his premature departure from the tour Down Under, the Australians were rather reserved in their comments, showing respect for Trott's condition and wishing him well.
However, now that the issue has been dealt with appropriately, we are back to business and coach Darren Lehman promised that his team is not going to let up with the aggressive approach they have shown during the very successful first test in Brisbane. And why should they? Especially after being so overwhelmingly successful in that first Ashes encounter of the 2013/2014 season!
There goes 20% of his Match fees ... Probably worth it, seeing how easily his team beat England!
Seam bowler Siddle even suggested that if the opportunity arises, they may bring up the Trott issue and what happened to him. You got to love the Aussies and the way they play the game in the middle. Never giving an inch - never standing back for no one! I know some people think it is unnecessary, but then I think they have never truly played the game and experienced how a few well-timed words could rattle you with bat in hand?
Jonathan Trott returned to England due to a stress-related illness!
The Sports-Man cannot wait for the second test to start and I am hoping that England bring their A-game with them, because we want to see a full five days of Ashes cricket!
Australia will field an unchanged side for the second test, which could be expected, but what will the Poms do? What is your prediction for the 2nd Ashes test in Adelaide?
